An Associate Banker is sought to provide support to the project development and the preparation process, initially under the supervision of senior bankers, but with expectation that he/she will ultimately develop and lead transactions on their own. The key focus will be on the credit and financial aspects of project development and implementation with special responsibility for financial modelling and analysis, in addition the selected candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of project development and implementation, which may include marketing to prospective clients. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Working throughout the whole life cycle of projects. This will be accomplished through marketing, project screening, origination, due diligence, structuring, preparation of term-sheets, negotiation, preparation, monitoring of projects and execution. Associate Banker will work with supervision from senior team members. Credit and financial aspects of project development, including financial analysis of companies, production of financial projections and cash-flow models. A particular focus is on transactions in the area of Municipal Environment Infrastructure (MEI) and Manufacturing & Services (M&S). Participate in monitoring of existing investments, including preparation of regular monitoring reports based on meetings with clients, site visits, financial review and other research. Collection and analysis of project information through research, due diligence and independent inquiry. Participate in project implementation, including administrative and analytical support in specific areas of project monitoring. Draft specific assigned portions of Bank documents and correspondence. An important component of the job will be to participate in the work of the Team and to ensure guidance of junior bankers and analysts. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications Good relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education (e.g. business administration, economics, finance). 4+ years of relevant and commercial work experience (e.g. banking, finance, accounting, audit or project finance) gained from a major commercial/investment bank, equity fund, advisory services or corporate finance firm. Credit analysis skills: ability to interpret accounts, understanding accounting principles and practice of credit analysis. Financial analysis skills: ability to design financial models; identify, understand and help solve complex issues; good knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting. Sound understanding of business principles. Excellent communication skills (internal & external). Computer literacy with excellent Excel skills. Very good written and oral communication skills in English and Russian. Competencies and Personal Attributes Ability to operate sensitively in multicultural environments and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues. Willingness to travel to and work in EBRD countries of operation. Ability to work well within a team. Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
